The trouble with the USA is that, except for the shoot-on-sight orders against the mormans back in the 1800's, we have never had a true religious war. And europe has managed to forget its own history of catholic vs protestent vs jews vs pagans. During WWII nobody could or would believe the stories and rumors of death camps until they were liberated.
